Mary Robertson promoted to Senior Vice President, Current Production; Pete Ross promoted to Senior Vice President of Development.
Left/Right, the award-winning production company behind a diverse slate of television series and specials including The Circus (Showtime), The Zoo (Animal Planet), and the upcoming New York Times series The Weekly (FX & Hulu), today announced the promotion of two executives.
Mary Robertson, a key member of the Left/Right creative team, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Current Production. Since joining the Left/Right team over nine years ago, Mary has worked on some of the company’s most prestigious projects. Recent highlights include developing, directing and executive producing the documentary series Tricky Dick for CNN (premiering in 2019), co-directing the feature documentary Trumped, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, serving as an executive producer on the Showtime series The Circus, and writing and directing multiple episodes of the award-winning PBS series Frontline, including The Middle School Moment and The Education of Omarina, both of which received Emmy® nominations.
Pete Ross has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Development, reflecting a stellar run developing and selling shows to multiple cable and digital outlets. Since joining Left/Right in 2014, Pete and his colleagues on the development team have created and sold projects across a wide range of genres, including the hit series The Zoo and two forthcoming spinoff series for Animal Planet, Biography: The Trump Dynasty for A&E, First Family of Hip Hop for Bravo, TruInside for truTV, Generation X for Nat Geo, a forthcoming film for the History 100 documentary strand at History, and many others.
