Munich, December 16, 2011. Germany’s leading science-tainment TV format “Galileo” will premiere on Estonian major free TV channel Kanal 2 on December 16th after being a great success on the digital channel Kanal 12. Lithuanian BTV launched their local version in October. Bulgarian TV7 will also start airing “Galileo” in early 2012. “Galileo” continues to be a smash hit in Russia (CTC), Poland (TV4) and Serbia (PRVA), all three of which are currently producing new seasons.
Kanal 2 will start airing “Galileo” once a week additionally to the daily airings on Kanal 12. The Estonian version of “Galileo”, hosted by Tanel Talve regularly outperforms Kanal 12’s channel average by up to 333% and usually wins its slot among smaller digital channels.
