The premiere of Dog’s Most Wanted, produced by Dorsey Pictures, attracted big audiences to WGN America on Wednesday, September 4, and ranked as the channel’s Number One unscripted series in the network’s history.
Nearly 1.7 million Total Viewers and 726,000 Adults 25-54 overall tuned in to the premiere, with an impressive 426,000 Adults 25-54 and 943,000 Total Viewers during the 9-10pm hour on a Live + Same Day basis.
The series is WGN America’s highest rated telecast since the season 2 premiere of their original series Underground in March 2017. Additionally, last night’s episode ranked as was one of the Top 10 most talked about topics on Twitter with both #DogsMostWanted and #ThisOnesForBeth trending.
In the new series, Duane “Dog” Chapman and the late Beth Chapman are supported by a team of hunters Dog calls “The Dirty Dozen.” Together they go on a cross-country manhunt to track down a carefully curated list of Dog’s Most Wanted fugitives. In their personal lives, the series tackles the family’s most difficult fight as their beloved matriarch Beth Chapman bravely fights – and tragically loses – her battle with cancer.
Dog’s Most Wanted is produced by Dorsey Pictures, along with Entertainment by Bonnie and Clyde. Chris Dorsey (Building Alaska), and Matt Assmus serve as Executive Producers for Dorsey Pictures. Dog and the late Beth Chapman are Executive Producers for Bonnie & Clyde.
