Major new movie The Secret: Dare to Dream has launched on Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) in the US, with the UK launch set for Friday, August 7.
The feel-good romantic drama starring Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, and Jerry O’Connell has proved a smash-hit in the US, opening as high as Number One on VOD charts on Friday. On FandangoNow it immediately landed as Number One; and the movie also grabbed sales on transactional platforms, debuting Number One on AppleTV on Friday, and a Top Ten movie on Amazon Prime.
Gravitas Ventures acquired all North American rights to The Secret: Dare to Dream in November last year from tri-G Film, and has partnered with Lionsgate’s sister company Roadside Attractions to release the film in US. The movie was originally slated for a theatrical release in April, however due to COVID-19 the movie will now be released direct to audiences through PVOD. Lionsgate are handling all forms of US distribution including home entertainment and television distribution.
Based on the groundbreaking best-selling book about the law of attraction by Rhonda Byrne, The Secret: Dare to Dream follows Miranda (Katie Holmes), a young widow trying to make ends meet while raising her three children and dating her boyfriend (Jerry O’Connell). A devastating storm brings an enormous challenge and a mysterious man, Bray (Josh Lucas), into Miranda’s life. Bray reignites the family’s spirit but, unbeknownst to Miranda, also holds an important secret — one that will change everything.
