CNN has announced a new documentary HQ Trivia – produced by Left/Right – during Warner Bros’ presentation at this year’s Upfronts.
HQ Trivia, directed by Salima Koroma (Dreamland: The Burning of Black Wall Street), will examine the mobile game show that drew millions of daily users at its peak, well before Wordle became a viral mobile game sensation. The documentary is set to explore the dizzying ascent of the game and the startup firm behind it, in addition to the “drama, destruction and dysfunction” that went on behind the scenes. The documentary will air in 2023.
Left/Right also produce documentary series The New York Times Presents with the New York Times, for FX and Hulu, groundbreaking political docuseries The Circus, currently airing its seventh season on Showtime.
