Red Arrow drama Descendants is one of five contenders for the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize 2023.
Descendants is an intriguing, character-driven drama that tells the story of a dysfunctional Icelandic family through the exploration of universal themes such as greed, sibling rivalry, loyalty and responsibility. Character-driven, visually striking European drama is the show running debut of acclaimed Icelandic actor, Tinna Hrafnsdóttir – who also serves as director on the series, and writer alongside Ottó Geir Borg og Tyrfingur Tyrfingsson. Descendants is produced by Polarama, Freyja Filmworks and Projects in co-production with Lunanime for Síminn (Iceland).
The eighth edition of the prize, the Nordic drama series screenwriting award carries a cash prize of €20,000. The winner will be announced during an award ceremony on the evening of January 30 at the Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision.
