Jobst Benthues, Managing Director of Redseven Entertainment, has announced today that he will continue to lead the successful German production company until at least 2020. Redseven Entertainment is a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Arrow Entertainment Group.
Benthues founded Redseven nine years ago and runs the company with locations in Munich and Cologne together with Co-Managing Director Christiane Heinemann. For more than 20 years, he has held various positions within ProSiebenSat.1, including Head of Entertainment and Deputy Managing Director at ProSieben.
In recent years, Redseven has developed into one of Germany’s most successful entertainment production companies and is responsible for hit shows such as “Germany’s next Topmodel – by Heidi Klum” (ProSieben), “The Biggest Loser” (SAT.1) and “Rosins Restaurants” (kabel eins). At the same time, Redseven benefits from the international creative network of Red Arrow Entertainment Group, producing Red Arrow formats including dating shows “Kiss Bang Love” (ProSieben) and “Hochzeit auf den ersten Blick” / “Married at First Sight” (SAT.1), created by Red Arrow’s Danish production company Snowman Productions; “Eine Liga für sich – Buschis Sechserkette” / “A League of Their Own” (Sky 1), which is based on the hit British format from CPL Productions; and US cooking show “The Taste” (SAT.1). In addition, Redseven develops its own popular programs including “Superpets” (SAT.1) and “Galileo Big Pictures” (ProSieben).
Jan Frouman, Chairman & CEO of Red Arrow Entertainment Group, said: “Since its launch nine years ago, Redseven has forged a strong reputation as the go-to production company in Germany for first-class entertainment – and this is largely thanks to Jobst. He is a well-respected industry expert and knows exactly how to attract audiences with his shows. I am thrilled to continue our partnership.”
Jobst Benthues, Managing Director of Redseven Entertainment, added: “I am delighted to remain a long-term part of the Red Arrow family and to further drive Redseven’s successful future. In addition to our strong non-scripted portfolio, we want to increasingly produce serialized content and expand our Corporate TV business.”
