Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, the multi-award winning social experiment format originally produced by CPL Productions for Channel 4 in the UK, has won a 2020 International Emmy Award.

The Australian production of the format, produced by Endemol Shine Australia for ABC, scooped the award for Best Non-scripted Entertainment.

The Australian version premiered last year, and has already won an International Format Award and an AACTA Award.

Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds completed two successful seasons in the UK, winning countless international awards including Realscreen, Broadcast, Edinburgh TV, Grierson and International Format awards. The show was also nominated for a 2018 and 2019 BAFTA award.

Red Arrow Studios International distributes the format worldwide, with sales to over 14 territories including Israel, produced by July August Productions for KAN, and Germany, produced by Redseven Entertainment for VOX.

Organized by the International Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences, the International Emmy Awards recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States, as well as US Primetime programs produced in languages other than English.

Winners were announced at a virtual ceremony in New York.
