• Content house comprising existing production and distribution companies

• Growth via international acquisitions, start-ups and creative partnerships

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group today announces the launch of Red Arrow Entertainment Group, a holding company for existing assets as well as a vehicle for international expansion. Founding the new company is part of a broad strategy to expand and strengthen the Group’s international production, program distribution and development activities. Red Arrow plans to acquire and launch television production companies across and outside the Group’s 12-country footprint and to establish development partnerships with leading creative talent from around the world. Over and above local productions, Red Arrow will be investing in formats and scripted shows with strong international appeal and sales potential.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s CEO, Thomas Ebeling, commented: “We believe it is strategically essential to invest in and expand our content creation and distribution activities. With Red Arrow, we have formally established these businesses as key revenue pillars within our Group. We expect Red Arrow and its growing portfolio of assets to provide valuable content to both our own channels and the broader market, and to further diversify the revenue sources of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.”

At launch, Red Arrow assets include several production companies, among them Producers at Work, Magic Flight Film and Redseven Entertainment, the talent agency Redseven Artists, as well as the international program sales house SevenOne International. Recently closed development partnerships with Dick de Rijk and between Redseven Entertainment and Phil Gurin also fall under the Red Arrow umbrella. The Group anticipates the first additions to the portfolio within the next six months.

Led by Group Managing Director Jan Frouman, Red Arrow’s Munich-based management team includes as Group Directors Jens Richter (International Distribution), Michael Schmidt (Creative Operations & Business Development) and John Jongerden (Finance & Operations). Jongerden, a manager with 20 years experience in the television production business, joined the Group on January 15, 2010. Most recently, he served as a finance and operations advisor to Fremantle Media and the RTL Group. Richter will retain his role as Managing Director of SevenOne International. Frouman will also continue as EVP Group Content Acquisitions at ProSiebenSat.1.
