Red Arrow Studios has sponsored WrapWomen’s second annual Power Women Summit.
The event, to be held at the Fairmont Hotel Santa Monica on October 24 – 25, brings together the industry’s most influential women to promote the goal of greater women’s leadership in the entertainment industry, and gender balance in media, entertainment and technology overall. With the theme “Toward 50/50,” the event highlights women of achievement, encourages discussion on topics of impact and creates a lasting community of powerful women.
Women executives from across Red Arrow Studios we will be attending the event, including Red Arrow’s TV distributor Red Arrow Studios International, production companies 44 Blue Productions, Dorsey Pictures, Half Yard Productions, Karga Seven Pictures, Kinetic Content and Left/Right, and digital studio Studio71.
Nina Etspüler, Group Creative Director, Red Arrow Studios, said: “Red Arrow is proud to support this important US initiative that brings together women working in the entertainment industry, and sets important goals for change. Within Red Arrow Studios, more than half of all of our production companies and labels are led or co-led by women. But whilst the industry is continuing to progress, with positive changes seen for women and underrepresented groups, there is still much more work to be done.”
More than 1,500 women are expected to attend the panels, workshops and round tables at the event, along with main stage keynotes, performances and podcasts. Speakers will touch on topics such as redefining inclusivity, the power of female-driven content, equal pay in sports and beyond, negotiating your worth, and inviting men to join the conversation.
Speakers and performers include “This is Us” Star Chrissy Metz, Amazon Studio Chief Jennifer Salke, author and activist Gigi Gorgeous, and actresses Eva Longoria and Corinne Foxx. “Orange is the New Black” star Diane Guerrero, AMC Networks Entertainment Group President Sarah Barnett, Warner Bros. EVP of Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Dee Dee Meyers, Congressional Candidate Cori Bush (D-MO), Homegrown Pictures Founder Stephanie Allain and WME Partner Nancy Josephson will also participate.
