Studio71 in the US is to launch a new, original podcast hosted by Bob Saget, the Grammy-nominated comedian, director, actor and New York Times bestselling author.
The podcast series, called ‘Bob Saget’s Here For You,’ will be released on Monday, April 20, 2020 and is available for free everywhere you get podcasts including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
The podcast will feature Bob’s one of a kind stream of consciousness storytelling, calls with listeners and occasional conversations with celebrity guests including John Stamos, Tiffany Haddish, John Mayer, Macaulay Culkin, Bill Burr, Howie Mandel and more. Listeners will be treated to three episodes a week for the first two weeks – released on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On May 4, the podcast will begin a regular release schedule of two episodes a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts and follow on Spotify to be the first to hear new episodes of ‘Bob Saget’s Here For You’ as soon as they are released.
“I’ve always had a love for broadcasting and the intimate connection you get to have with people,” stated Saget. “At the time I set out to do this podcast, I had no idea the world would change as it has. Now I find myself filled with even more passion to create episodes with humor and empathy to hopefully give people a little bit of solace and some laughs.”
“We’re excited to partner with Bob and help build this hilarious show,” said Studio71’s VP of Podcasts Stephen Perlstein. “As his fans know, Bob is full of surprises and he gives them that and more in this podcast – laughs, heart, and great conversations. We’re thrilled to add ‘Bob Saget’s Here For You’ to our growing podcast network.”
‘Bob Saget’s Here For You’ is a podcast like no other because of Bob’s inherent ability to calm people, especially while they’re going through a difficult time, which we all are at present. Bob speaks to his audience as a friend, as the dad with great advice, as the irreverent funny guy who’s always there when you need a laugh, and as the free-associating Bob Saget who’s known to go off on crazy tangents while caught up in a story before returning to the subject at hand, as serious or as comedic as it may be. He wraps up each episode in a way that only Bob can because he really does believe, he’s here for you.
Bob Saget can be seen in the hit Netflix series Fuller House, and directed and starred in the independent film Benjamin, available on Hulu and Redbox. In 2019, Bob hosted the new CMT TV series, Nashville Squares, still airing on CMT. His most recent hourlong stand-up special is Zero To Sixty. Bob will be back on tour with a new hour of material when it is safe to do so.
Saget is represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, ICM Partners and Workhouse Media.
