Hilary has produced numerous groundbreaking and award-winning dramas. The film was about extreme poverty and transmitted at the same time as the G8. Mary and Martha, another BBC/HBO film by Richard Curtis starring Hilary Swank and Brenda Blethyn, focused on malaria, and ways to conquer this.
