Red Arrow Studios International format The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes, originally created and produced by CPL Productions and Motion Content Group for Channel 4 in the UK, is to premiere in the Netherlands.
The new Dutch adaptation, called Restaurant Misverstand (Where Nobody Is Served), is produced by Concept Street for Talpa TV’s SBS6, and will premiere on Monday, August 31.
In this extraordinary social experiment, a group of people all living with dementia, spanning different ages and at various stages of the disease, are tasked with helping run a restaurant led by a successful chef – in the Dutch version, Ron Blaauw.
Over a five-week period, and with a dementia expert on hand to advise, the group takes on all the roles of a busy restaurant, including cooking, taking orders, serving and making drinks.
Distributed worldwide by Red Arrow Studios International, The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes was originally created and produced by CPL Productions, makers of ground-breaking, multi-award winning format Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, and Motion Content Group. The UK version, overseen by Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton, successfully aired on Channel 4 in June 2019.
In addition to the Netherlands sale, Red Arrow Studios International has also sold the format to countries including Belgium.
