Dorsey Pictures and Left/Right have both been nominated at this year’s inaugural Clue Awards, the first awards show dedicated exclusively to true-crime content.
Accident, Suicide or Murder – produced by Dorsey Pictres for Oxygen Network – is nominated in the television: outstanding episodic series category. The third season of the show, which unravels the truth behind mysterious deaths, aired in 2021.
The New York Times Presents: To Live and Die in Alabama, produced by The New York Times and Left/Right for FX and Hulu is nominated for outstanding documentary film. The film, from director-producer Matt Kay, examines the aftermath of the killing of three police officers in a shootout at an Alabama drug house. It is part of The New York Times Presents – a series of standalone documentary films produced by The New York Times and Left/Right.
The winners will be announced in a ceremony held in Las Vegas on April 30, during this year’s CrimeCon event. Law & Crime Network founder and former Live PD host Dan Abrams is set to host the awards show.
