Kinetic’s Love is Blind and Left/Right’s Ride with Norman Reedus nominated for awards
Trade magazine Realscreen has unveiled its nominations for the 2021 Realscreen Awards.
Kinetic Content has been nominated in the Reality: Constructed Reality category for Love is Blind, it’s global smash-hit series for Netflix; and Left/Right is nominated in the Lifestyle: Travel & Exploration Program category for long-running AMC show Ride with Norman Reedus.
Recognizing the best in unscripted and non-fiction programming from around the world, the awards will be announced in a virtual ceremony on January 26, as part of the 2021 Realscreen Summit.
Love is Blind was recently nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, and won the 2021 Critics Choice Real TV Awards for Best Relationship Show. The show has proved to be a global sensation for Netflix since its February 13 launch. The 10-episode show was the Number One title on the service in multiple territories around the world including the United States, the UK, Germany, Australia and Canada, and continues to rank in the Top Ten in most countries.
Netflix has already commissioned Kinetic Content to produce a further two seasons of the show. Kinetic also produce Lifetime mega-hit Married at First Sight, which was recently recommissioned for a further six seasons plus multiple spin-off series.
Ride with Norman Reedus is in its fifth season for AMC. The popular motorcycle travelogue features The Walking Dead star and motorcycle enthusiast Norman Reedus as he hits the open road with a riding companion to explore different cultures and experience the best scenery, food, nature and local activities in the US and around the world.
Alongside Ride with Norman Reedus, Left/Right produce a wealth of programming across all genres, including The New York Times Presents for FX and Hulu, The Circus for Showtime, and forthcoming new series Fiasco for EPIX.
