CPL Productions, the award-winning indie behind many of the UK’s leading television and radio productions, today announces strategic changes to its leadership structure.

Danielle Lux, who has led CPL through two decades of growth and innovation, will transition into the newly created role of Executive Chair. In this role, she will continue to guide the company’s strategic and creative ambitions. Danielle’s move reflects her long-standing commitment to nurturing talent and driving innovation across genres, which has been a key factor in CPL’s continued development, growth and success.

Joining CPL in a newly created role is Joe McLusky, formerly of Lime Pictures, who becomes General Manager, reporting directly to Murray Boland. Murray will take on the role of CEO from his current role as Chief Content Officer.

Danielle Lux said: “CPL has always been about creating the right space for the most talented people to do their best work. So, I’m delighted to welcome Joe to CPL – his experience is unparalleled, and I know he will contribute to CPL’s continued growth. My role will be changing from the day to day running of the business and Joe’s appointment will allow me to focus more fully on strategy and creativity. I will hand the reins to my co-founder and long-time collaborator, Murray in January 2026. These 20 years of growing CPL have been the best of my career – incredible people and powerful shows. I know this new structure is going to allow CPL to continue to grow and flourish.”

Joe McLusky is an experienced Television Executive and consultant with nearly three decades in production leadership across some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters and indies. He has held senior roles including Vice President & General Manager of Non-Scripted at Paramount’s VIS UK, where he led the production of over 1150 hours of content, expanded its output into new genres and for new channels, and helped win Channel 5’s first-ever BAFTA. More recently, Joe worked as Director of Production for Lime Pictures, Lion TV, and Wise Owl Films, managing £50M+ of annual content. He now works as a consultant and Executive in Charge (EIC) on a number of UK and international projects, including CPL’s upcoming new format The Hunt. Other roles include helping launch Liz Murdoch’s Shine TV as its first Director of Production, Head of Production for Granada TV’s Entertainment division, and Production Executive for ITV Studios.

Chief Operating Officer Janet Oakes, who has played a pivotal role in CPL’s commercial and operational success, will transition into a new part-time role in 2026, but will remain on the CPL board as director and continue to support the company’s strategic initiatives.

These changes mark the next chapter as part of CPL Productions continued growth in the TV sector, reinforcing its commitment to creativity and world class production values. The company remains at the forefront of some of the UK’s most popular entertainment formats and is focused on delivering high-quality, audience-driven programmes from Married at First Sight UK, Love Is Blind UK, Stranded on Honeymoon Island and A League of Their Own.
