Global format Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, produced by CPL Productions for Channel 4 in the UK, has won its second Edinburgh TV Festival Award.

At a ceremony today, August 22, in Edinburgh, the show once again scooped the Best Popular Factual Series award, following its win in 2018.

CPL Productions were also shortlisted for Production Company of the Year, after winning the prize in 2018, but lost out to World Productions.

Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds has won a number of international awards including Best New Format at the Realscreen Awards, Best Original Programme at the Broadcast Awards, Best Popular Factual Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards, Best Factual Entertainment and Best Brand Driven Format at the International Format Awards, and Best Constructed Documentary Series at the Grierson Awards. The show was also nominated for a 2018 and 2019 BAFTA award.

Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds is a revolutionary social experiment that attempts to dramatically improve the health and well-being of elderly people in retirement communities, by bringing them together with a group of four-year-old pre-school children.
