News of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s return to television trended yesterday with the announcement of Dorsey Pictures producing Dog’s Most Wanted for WGN’s first unscripted series in over five years. In this new series, Dog and Beth will be supported by a ferocious team of hunters Dog calls, ‘The Dirty Dozen.’ Together they will hunt down the Most Wanted Fugitives from the FBI, US Marshals and States’ lists throughout the country, bringing these criminals to justice.
Reelz also recently announced the premiere its documentary special Slenderman Stabbing: The Untold Story, produced by Dorsey Pictures, on Saturday, January 26 at 8pm et/ 5pm pt. In a surreal collision of reality and fantasy then 12-year-olds Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured a third friend, Payton Leutner, into the woods where Geyser would then wield the knife in the name of a fictitious internet child-stalker, the Slenderman. The two-hour documentary special turns the crime on its head with details about the girls’ macabre planning to events that led to the stabbing as well as the arrests, trials and sentencing with never-before-seen evidence.
Dorsey Pictures also has an upcoming true crime series and special for Oxygen and numerous other projects in development. The company also continues to dominate lifestyle programming with current series Building Alaska, Building Off the Grid and Maine Cabin Masters.
