Red Arrow Studios, the global creator and distributor of entertainment content, has promoted James Baker to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. He will continue to report to Jan Frouman, Chairman & CEO of Red Arrow Studios, and be based in London.
In his new role, James Baker will be responsible for optimizing operational performance across Red Arrow’s production and distribution divisions, and directly managing select production territories and portfolio assets. Baker will also oversee human resources and the group’s project management office.

James joined Red Arrow in 2011, and has held positions including President of Red Arrow Studios’ production portfolio and Managing Director of Red Arrow Entertainment UK. He joined the management board of Red Arrow in 2015. Prior to that, James spent 11 years at Sky, including two stints as Controller of Sky One and finally as Managing Director, Networked Media. After leaving Sky in 2007, James worked with media private equity group Fleming Media before joining Current TV, Al Gore’s ground-breaking web and TV network as UK General Manager.
In January 2018, Red Arrow Studios brought together the group’s 20 production companies in seven countries with world-leading digital studio, Studio71, based in six countries, and global TV and film distributors Red Arrow Studios International and Gravitas Ventures, to create a world-leading creator and distributor of entertainment content.
