July August Productions has won a total of eight awards at the Israeli Television Academy Awards, held on Sunday, March 11 in Or Yehuda, Israel.
July August picked up four awards for comedy series Significant Other, including Best Comedy, Best Script – Comedy for its writer Dana Modan, Best Director – Comedy for Ram Nahari, and its star Asi Cohen won Best Actor – Comedy.
Also July August’s local production of international format The Chase won Best Game Show for the second year in a row; You Can’t Ask That won in the Best Factual category; The Fall and Rise of the Jewish Underground won Best Photography, and Avi Belleli won Best Original Music for new drama series Asylum City, which is set to screen at Series Mania in France next month.
July August is one of Israel’s most successful production companies. The company announced this week that it has been commissioned by KAN public broadcaster to produce a local version of hit international format Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds.
