Married At First Sight returned to Nine Network this Monday to phenomenal ratings, with national TV audience of 1.25 million viewers, beating impressive debuts from tentpole formats Australian Idol and Survivor in a hugely competitive 7:30pm time slot.
The season 11 premiere attracted a staggering 2.46 million viewers overall, ahead of any of the news broadcasts, with a Total TV national audience of 1.25 million and a broadcast video-on-demand audience of 189,000.
By comparison, Australian Idol aired to a national audience of 787,000 on Seven and 1.78 million overall viewers, while Survivor launched to 572,000 viewers on Ten, with 1.13 million tuning in during its two-hour debut.
Married at First Sight Australia is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Nine Network, based on a format created by Snowman Productions. The format is distributed globally by Red Arrow Studios International.
