Critically-acclaimed New Zealand series Miles From Nowhere and Kid Sister season two have landed a combined six nominations at this year’s New Zealand Television Awards.
Six-part drama-comedy Miles From Nowhere is nominated for awards including best comedy, best script: comedy (Mohamed Hassan), best supporting actress (Roxie Mohebbi) and best costume design (Briar Vivian). Kid Sister is also nominated for best comedy and best script: comedy (Simone Nathan).

Ambitious, female-centred comedy Kid Sister – from writer/creator Simone Nathan (Our Flag Means Death) – follows a young Jewish woman navigates big issues in this hilarious comedy drama set in New Zealand, where more people identify as Jedi than Jewish . The series returned for a second season earlier this year. Kid Sister is produced by Greenstone TV for TVNZ (NZ).
