Peter Sarsgaard cast as lead in new CBS All Access series from producers of Bosch and CBS Television Studios.
Each episode is based on a real interrogation taken from police case files; nine episodes to watch in any order will drop at launch leading up to conclusive season finale.
Peter Sarsgaard will play the lead in Fabrik Entertainment’s upcoming CBS All Access series Interrogation, a true-crime drama series which encourages the viewer to do the detecting. The series will be produced by CBS Television Studios and Fabrik Entertainment (Bosch), a Red Arrow Studios company. Co-creators Anders Weidemann (30 Degrees In February) and John Mankiewicz (House of Cards, Bosch) are executive producers alongside Fabrik Entertainment’s Henrik Bastin and Melissa Aouate. Fabrik’s Paul Hilborn and Abbey Morris are producing. The series will be distributed internationally by CBS Studios International.
Sarsgaard will play the detective in the series, which is based on a true story that spanned more than 30 years, in which a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. Each episode is structured around an interrogation taken directly from the real police case files. The first nine episodes of the series will be available to watch in any order, and the conclusive season finale will be released at a later date.
Sarsgaard most recently portrayed Martin Schmidt in Hulu’s praised limited series The Looming Tower. His previous TV credits include The Killing, The Slap and Wormwood and his film credits include Loving Pablo, Jackie, Shattered Glass, Kinsey, Garden State, The Salton Sea and K-19: The Widowmaker.
