Red Arrow Entertainment Group today announces the launch of Sultan Sushi B.V., a 100% owned Red Arrow production company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Dutch start-up expands Red Arrow’s creative scale across a key ProSiebenSat.1 Group and international TV market. Johan Tuyaerts and Jan Keersmaekers extend their existing roles as CEO and COO of Sultan Sushi Belgium, respectively, to act as Managing Directors for Red Arrow’s entire Benelux operation.
Tuyaerts and Keersmaekers are supported by Jeanine Blom as Head of Productions. Most recently, Blom produced for De Beeldbrigade (“The Block”, “Met de deur in Huis” (home makeover daily) on Net 5). Previous posts include Executive Producer for Strix Television in the Netherlands (“Survivor”, “Brat Camp” on RTL) and Production Manager at Endemol Productions (“Wife Swap”, “Fear Factor” on RTL).
Sultan Sushi Netherlands launches with the production of a Dutch daily version of the home & lifestyle format “House Hunt” (“Huizenjacht”) for SBS6. “House Hunt” has enjoyed strong ratings over 10 seasons on VT4, Belgium, with Season 11 currently in preparation.
Jan Frouman, Group Managing Director of Red Arrow, said: “The expansion of our production base to the Netherlands is a natural strategic step following the recent acquisition of Sultan Sushi Belgium. With the leadership and know-how of Johan and Jan, and the key addition of Jeanine, we believe we have an outstanding team with which to establish a strong foothold across the territory.”
Sultan Sushi Netherlands’ Managing Director, Johan Tuyaerts, added: “Jan Keersmaekers and I are very excited to take on this new challenge in a competitive and creative market like the Netherlands. Together with Jeanine Blom, who will manage the daily operations of the Amsterdam office, we have gathered a fantastic team of Dutch TV professionals. Our first steps will involve the rollout of successful Sultan Sushi and Red Arrow formats.”
