Sky Atlantic in Italy and South Korea’s Green Narae Media have picked up rights to seasons one, two and three of “Lilyhammer”. Season 3 of the successful drama series has also been sold to numerous other channels around the globe: Germany’s TNT Serie has bought pay TV rights; LTV (Latvian Public Television) has secured “Lilyhammer” for Latvia; LRT Televizija for Lithuania and A Media Film for Russia.
Produced by Rubicon and co-produced by Netflix, “Lilyhammer” is Norway’s most successful local drama series of all time. Outperforming all ratings records in Norway, the series has been picked up in over 150 territories across the globe. Its third season was released on NRK in Norway in October and on Netflix in November. At this year’s Monte Carlo TV festival, the series won a Golden Nymph for Best International Comedy TV Series, and its protagonist, Steven Van Zandt, was honored as Outstanding Actor in a Comedy TV Series.
Axel Böhm, Senior Vice President Sales Europe at Red Arrow International, says “‘Lilyhammer’ is a hilarious and hot property. I’m certain that viewers in these territories will be on the edge of their seats laughing and I’m extremely pleased that it’s continuing its global success!”
