FOX International Channels Latin America has secured broadcasting rights to ABC’s version of “The Taste” for more than 50 territories including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela. Created by Kinetic Content, Red Arrow’s US production company, “The Taste” launches tomorrow.
Henrik Pabst, Managing Director Global Format & Factual Distribution of Red Arrow International, says “With season three in production for ABC and sales all over the globe, ‘The Taste’ has hit a nerve. I am absolutely delighted that FOX International Channels Latin America has acquired ‘The Taste’ for over 50 territories.”
Originally commissioned by ABC and now in its third season, the U.S. version features famed foodies Nigella Lawson, Anthony Bourdain, Marcus Samuelsson and Ludo Lefebvre as distinguished panel of judges as they are on a quest to find America’s next super chef. “The Taste” is executive-produced by Chris Coelen, Matilda Zoltowski, Emma Conway, Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson.
In Germany, the second season of “The Taste” is currently produced by RedSeven Entertainment for SAT.1.
About “The Taste”:
A cooking competition unlike any other, “The Taste” focuses purely on the taste of the food and is open to everyone – home cooks and professionals. Every week, our mentors Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Marcus Samuelsson are judging the food blind. The judges won’t know who cooked the food or how it was prepared, they won’t know the ingredients or even see the full presentation of the dish – it is only the taste that matters.
