RTL in Germany has renewed ambitious reality format Buying Blind, produced by Redseven Entertainment, for a second season.
Buying Blind has been a hit for RTL in Germany, outperforming the broadcaster’s channel average, with the highest rating episode drawing an impressive market share of 11.9% (viewers 14-49) – well above the channel average.
Buying Blind follows couples that can’t decide, or can’t agree, on what kind of home to buy. At a breaking point, they decide to take a radical step and blindly hand the decision – and their entire budget – over to a team of industry experts who will be charged with making the choice for these couples.
Red Arrow Studios International distributes the Buying Blind format worldwide. The show has already proved successful for Bravo in the US, where it is produced by Kinetic Content, and a ratings hit on RTL (the Netherlands) and TV3 (Denmark) over two seasons, produced by Snowman Productions. The format has been licensed to territories including Nine Network (Australia), SBS (Belgium), Nelonen (Finland) and M6 (France).
The new six episode season will air on RTL in 2023.
