Taut mystery drama The Gone has been nominated in the director – drama category at this year’s Irish Film and Television Academy Awards (IFTAs).

The deftly crafted, character-driven drama launched on RTÉ in Ireland in Fall 2023, where the premiere episode attracted a 30.2% share, 330,000 viewers for RTÉ (Ireland) – more than double the broadcaster’s main competitor. On TVNZ, 1.17 million New Zealanders tuned into at least one episode across its acclaimed run – nearly 25% of the entire population.

The Gone is produced by Kingfisher Films & Keeper Pictures in association with Southern Light Films for TVNZ (New Zealand) and RTÉ Ireland.

The IFTAs ceremony will be take place on April 20 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre with Irish TV personality Baz Ashmawy on hosting duties.
