Brazilian broadcaster GNT will premiere season six of the hit cooking competition The Taste Brasil on September 26, 2023. The series will also air simultaneously on VOD service Globoplay, bringing delicious food and disputes to a whole new audience.
Claude Troisgros and Felipe Bronze will be joined by two chefs on the judging panel: Manuelle Ferraz, who made her debut as a judge on Cook Island – Ilha do Sabor, also on GNT, and Manu Buffara, who in 2022 was elected best female chef in Latin America by Academia 50 Best. Together, they will choose the best flavor in a single spoon, in a challenging haute cuisine competition.
The Taste Brasil is produced by Moonshot Pictures and directed by Roberto d’Avila.
Spiral International secured the deal with GNT having acquired the Latin American rights to The Taste from Red Arrow Studios International, the global distributor of the series.
The format, originally created and produced by Kinetic Content for ABC (US), has now been licensed to over 40 territories worldwide; in Latin America it has also aired on Caracol TV in Colombia as La Prueba.
Zasha Robles, Managing Director at Spiral International said: “We’re delighted to be bringing a sixth season of this fun and feisty cooking competition back to Brazil. These new episodes will keep viewers entertained throughout the country.”
