Travel Channel in the US has picked up new series Believers from Karga Seven Pictures, set to premiere Saturday July 11 at 9pm ET/PT.
Paranormal tales are often dismissed as fiction, but for many who’ve faced the unknown, these tales are all too real to relive. Now, through actor portrayals, archival documentation and dramatic re-creations, the terrifyingly true events that transformed these unsuspecting eyewitnesses into believers are pieced together in each episode.
In the series premiere, “The Slip Knot,” launching Saturday, July 11 at 9 pm ET/PT, a Hollywood photographer is choked by the spirit of an angry sailor, an apparition lures a security guard to the scene of a deadly fire and a police detective discovers a missing woman, seen by a passerby, is actually dead.
In “Nervous Wreck,” premiering Saturday, July 18 at 9pm ET/PT, a wrecking yard owner is shocked to see a ghost on a security camera, a retired schoolteacher’s wife is attacked by a vengeful spirit and a mother and son search for a paranormal voice captured on a chilling audio file.
Karga Seven Pictures already produce a number of shows for Travel Channel, including new history adventure series Buried Worlds with Don Wildman which premiered earlier this month.
