ZDF has secured the rights to the Belgian medical drama series Sense of Tumour for its channel ZDFneo. Season one of the award-winning comedy drama will launch on Friday, November 10, with all episodes available on ZDF media library from November 11.
Sense of Tumour follows Tristan Devriendt: who has worked hard and played hard through six years of medical school. His future looks bright – until the day he learns he has cancer. Suddenly, Tristan gets firsthand experience of life on the other side of the medical curtain.
Tristan soon realizes that when you have cancer there’s a thin line between tragedy and comedy, and to survive you need to know how to cross that line as often as possible. Freezing your sperm, shaving your head, sharing a room with an elderly man and falling for his granddaughter, are all surreal scenarios Tristan must face with humor and the help of friends both old and new.
