Love is Blind, produced by Kinetic Content for Netflix, has landed two nominations for this year’s 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards.

The hit reality show has been nominated for Outstanding Structured Reality Program and Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.

Gravitas Ventures documentary The River and the Wall is also nominated in the Outstanding Nature Documentary category. From award-winning director Ben Masters (Unbranded) and producer Hillary Pierce (Tower), the doc had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival 2019, before airing on Starz in the US.

The winners will be unveiled on September 20, live on ABC in the US, in a ceremony hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

The Emmy Awards recognize excellence within television and emerging media, and are voted on by over 24,000 Television Academy members. Each member casts a ballot for the category of competition in their field of expertise.

Love is Blind has proved to be a global sensation for Netflix since its February 13 launch. The 10-episode show was the Number One title on the service in multiple territories around the world including the United States, the UK, Germany, Australia and Canada, and continues to rank in the Top Ten in most countries.

Netflix has already commissioned Kinetic Content to produce a further two seasons of the show.

In June, Love is Blind won Best Relationship Show at the 2020 year’s Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
