Red Arrow Studios International has licensed Season 7 of Married at First Sight: Australia to Lifetime in the US.
Following the success of Married at First Sight in the United States, Lifetime plans to bring fans more of what they love with twelve new Australian couples, including one same-sex duo, from the other side of the world. The top-rated import features double the drama, passion and romance, in addition to beautiful locales, with 36 two- hour episodes airing each Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime, beginning May 27.
Lifetime is home to the hugely successful US version of Married at First Sight, produced by Kinetic Content. Now in Season 10, with Season 11 commissioned, the show is the best performing series ever for the network, and the highest rated finale in franchise history.* The Married at First Sight Season 10 Reunion airs tonight, Wednesday, April 22 at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime; and Married at First Sight: Australia will follow new episodes of Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam, also produced by Kinetic Content, debuting May 20 at 8pm ET/PT.
Married at First Sight: Australia , produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Nine, is one of the most successful shows on Australian television and dubbed a ‘ratings behemoth’ for Nine. Currently winning across its Season Seven run, last year’s Season Six concluded with Nine beating its own ratings records, with the final episode reaching 1.96 million metro viewers, and a total of 2.61m.
The Married at First Sight format was originally created and produced by Snowman Productions for DR Denmark, and is distributed worldwide by Red Arrow Studios International. The format has been licensed to over 29 countries worldwide.
Red Arrow Studios International recently announced that tapes of finished productions have been sold to countries including New Zealand, Italy, Norway and Croatia.
