Hit social experiment Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, produced by CPL Productions for Channel 4 in the UK, has won both Best Brand Driven Format and Best Factual Entertainment Format at the 2018 International Format Awards.
Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds is a revolutionary social experiment that attempts to dramatically improve the health and well-being of elderly people in retirement communities, by bringing them together with a group of four-year-old pre-school children. The program was a huge ratings hit for Channel 4 in the UK, and returned in December for a Christmas special.
The International Format Awards 2018 were announced at a ceremony in Cannes on Saturday, April 7.
Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds has also been nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in the Constructed Reality & Factual category. The awards will be announced at an awards ceremony held in London at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, May 13, hosted by Sue Perkins.
The international format of Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds has been sold by Red Arrow Studios International to a raft of territories including France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Australia.
