• New sales for hit drama include BBC in the UK and SBS Australia

LONDON, February 23, 2024: Red Arrow Studios International has signed a raft of new deals for taught mystery drama The Gone (6 x 60’), including to the BBC in the UK, SBS and Acorn in Australia and Canal+ in Poland for Ale kino+.

Produced by Kingfisher Films and Keeper Pictures in association with Southern Light Films for TVNZ (New Zealand) and RTÉ (Ireland), the series successfully launched in both commissioning territories, attracting a 30.2% market share for RTÉ – more than double its main competitor; while in New Zealand it attracted 1.17 million viewers during its acclaimed run on TVNZ 1 – nearly a quarter of the country’s population. The Gone also performed well on VOD, with episodes streamed over 1,012,000 times on TVNZ+ in the first quarter following launch; and becoming the number one on RTÉ Player following launch. The series has already been commissioned for a second season, set to go into production in Spring.

The Gone is a deftly crafted, character-driven drama, starring Richard Flood (Gray’s Anatomy), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones) and Acushla-Tara Kupe. It follows Irish Special Branch detective Theo Richter as he heads to New Zealand to help search for two young Irish tourists who have vanished without a trace. They’ve gone missing from Mount Affinity, a picturesque rural town with a dark history of disappearance and death that has recently become home to supposedly altruistic tech conglomerate Houkura – dividing the local population.

Rose Hughes, VP Sales North America, UK, Australia, New Zealand at Red Arrow Studios International, said: “We’re delighted to continue to bring premium scripted content to the market from acclaimed international producers. It’s great to have global partners of the highest calibre on board to broadcast this well-executed and gripping crime drama.
