- Broadcasters including M6 (France) and RTL (Netherlands) recommission the format and acquire additional international tapes

LONDON. November 16, 2021: Red Arrow Studios International is continuing to expand the global footprint of its format juggernaut and channel-defining brand, Married at First Sight, through the signing of a new wave of commissions, re-commissions, spin-offs and tape sales.
Several broadcasters in key territories are recommissioning local versions and acquiring additional tapes from international markets, including M6 in France, which has recommissioned its own version for a sixth season from Studio89 as well as taking the tapes for season four of RTL’s French-speaking Belgium adaptation for its Teva channel. In the Netherlands, RTL has recommissioned the format for season seven, and also picked up season eight of the Australian version and the first season of the Australian reunion specials. Additionally, RTL has taken season 12 of the US version, season six of the UK version and seasons one-three of the Australian version for its SVOD service, Videoland.
Additional new commissions have been secured with Antenna TV (ANT1) in Greece to be produced by Antenna Studios, and Planet TV in Slovenia, bringing the total of Married at First Sight local versions to 31. New seasons of existing local versions have also been commissioned including Nine (Australia) for season nine of its local version produced by Endemol Shine, RTL Belgium (French-speaking) for season five, DPG Media (Flemish-Belgium) for season seven, and TVN (Poland) for season six and seven.
In addition to airing an eighth season of its local version, SAT.1 in Germany has also commissioned five episodes of a new spin-off from Redseven Entertainment titled Married at First Sight International, which pulls together highlights from local versions around the world. In a further deal, Seven.One Entertainment Group has taken seasons five and six of the UK version and seasons four and seven of the Australian version for its sixx channel and streaming platform Joyn.
Further tape sales include: DPG Media (Flemish-Belgium) for season eight of Married at First Sight Australia, plus the reunion specials, and season six of the UK and Dutch versions; SIC (Portugal) takes seasons 10-12 of the US version and season eight of the Australian tapes; and MTV Oy (Finland) takes US season six and season three of the UK version. In Sweden, SVT picks up season 12 and 13 of the US version, and TV4 also takes season seven of the Australian version and season six of the UK version. Additionally, the format’s original commissioning broadcaster DR (Denmark) has acquired season 12 of the US tapes, plus Married at First Sight Unmatchables, and Three (New Zealand) has picked up season six of the UK version.
