Half Yard Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, has produced new event series The Big Fat Wedding Walk for Lifetime.
The 3-episode limited series premieres today, Wednesday April 22 at 11 pm ET/PT on Lifetime, with episodes two and three on April 29 and May 6.
The Big Fat Wedding Walk follows the raw and authentic journey of couples desperate to lose weight before their big day by walking the longest “aisle” in wedding history.
Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day. But for people with serious weight issues, losing the pounds isn’t just a matter of looking amazing in pictures; it’s a matter of life or death.
In each episode of The Big Fat Wedding Walk, one couple follows a personalized weight loss routine for four months in their own homes, before walking 100 miles to get to their dream wedding. The Twist: they must walk the 100 mile “aisle” alone. They are rewarded with a transformative makeover and drastically altered wedding attire to stun their guests and each other. Built on real stakes, this series encourages genuine personal transformations, showing every emotion along the way.
The Big Fat Wedding Walk is executive produced by Nicole Sorrenti, Sean Gallagher and John Jones for Half Yard Productions.
Led by CEO Sean Gallagher, Half Yard Productions is a leading US producer of factual and factual entertainment including TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, which is currently in its 19th season, and spin-offs including current hit show Say Yes to the Dress America for TLC.
Half Yard Productions announced earlier this month that they have partnered with legendary hip hop artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross on a major new docu-series.
